THE ORCHARD

Appeal: HEARING - CANCELLED

New:  APPEAL INQUIRY JULY 2025

Dear residents/parishioners,

For those who may not be aware, the appeal hearing ( ref. 3357910) regarding the initial Enforcement Notice (ENF/24/00093) on the Orchard (land adjoining Stone Cottage Wick Lane Woolage Green), dated 22 November 2024 has been closed/withdrawn by the Inspectorate.
The subsequent Enforcement notice issued on 5th February 2025 is more comprehensive, and also covers the matters raised in the November EN.
The Inspectorate will now hold an Appeal Inquiry (not a Hearing) in regard to the 2nd Enforcement notice issued in February 2025.
Currently the inquiry is scheduled to take place in early July 2025. (No date is set on the Inspectorate portal at present.)
Disappointingly, ALL submissions made to the Inspectorate for consideration on the first appeal, hearing ref. 3357910 will not be carried forward to the 2nd appeal, Inquiry ref 3361332.
This means, NEW SUBMISSIONS will need to be made, the new submissions must incorporate the NEW APPEAL REFERENCE 3361332, and your reasons for submission may need to be modified to reflect the second enforcement notice, as this differs from the first EN. (Please see EN NOTICE attached ).
We will amend the appeal reference number and re-submit the group signatories etc. against the new appeal (3361332).

Should any other residents wish to take this opportunity to now add their signatures etc. supporting Canterbury City Councils 2nd enforcement notice, Please contact the Clerk at :
[email protected]
Those who previously made, or now wish to make, individual submissions to the Inspectorate, please click the link below to the Appeals Casework Portal ref 3361332
